What is a toque

This Hat is a fun fast knit. It is knit vertically back and forth with short row shaping at the crown.

Size: One Adult size ~ 22” Circumference

Skill Level : Advanced Beginner: provisional cast on, short rows with wrap and turn, 3 needle BO or Grafting.

Yarn: Seacolors by GetWool.com (100% wool; 4oz = approx 270 yards) : Approx 1/2 skien.

Needles: US 8 (6mm) or size to obtain gauge.

Other Materials: Waste yarn, darning needle, and optional row counter.

Gauge: 14sts and 2 rows = 4″ in st st. Stitch gauge will give you the height of the hat. Row gauge is more important in giving you brim size. If your row gauge differs, you may wish to modify the number of rows in your hat. It is important to check your gauge.
