‘TIS THE SEASON…

Colorful wool yarn on display at Seacolors Yarnery, a vibrant destination for high-quality hand-dyed yarns and knitting supplies in a scenic rural setting.

For insulated boots, and several layers of wool! Everything slows down here, especially as footing is ICY, hoses often need thawing, and tractor needs warming, IF it starts. Fortunately, sheep nuggets provide good footing, and I don’t have to go anywhere, if I don’t have to go anywhere. BUT there is a heat wave on the way! A welcome few days above freezing, have not seen those temps for over a month (it’s been down to -14!), so snow will melt and I can finally fetch the troughs, temporary fences and disconnected hoses that got abandoned after our early and sudden winter arrival.

Just a quick note to say this weekend takes me to Deer Isle for a TWO day event at Green-Ziner Gallery, 73 Reach Road, at Yellowbirch Farm. MANY artisans, yummy treats and sweet people, lots of smiles and positive thoughts.

And there is still time to order online! Yarns are getting low on stock, but there is ALWAYS a Virtual Appointment option so we can visit remotely and go digging in the pile… I PROMISE to get more colors loaded up in 2026, got any special requests?

GIFT CARDS work FOR ANYTHING! I am shipping every day, so there is still time to get your woolies on time (or late), AND DON’T FORGET there is a COUPON for FREE SHIPPING on BLANKETS through 2025.

BFS25… please feel free to share.

LOTS of Hand Dyed Mermaid Napper with new online navigation for color options, and The Linsey-Woolsey Herringbone at 80”x90” which makes a great queen or king layer, luxurious on a twin, with perfect weight and drape, for year round comfort. This is the replacement for currently SOLD OUT bed sizes, but we will start weaving again THIS MONTH with my same SOFT wool on a natural linen warp. STAY TUNED FOR AN INTRODUCTORY OFFER.

A HUGE THANK YOU to all who have donated to the sheep cause. The lambs are currently rebounding from lovely alfalfa, brought in from Oregon, and tucked into cozy, bright, and dry winter quarters.

Whatever brings you joy this season of dark time, please indulge. Personally, I am BIG fan of naps. No new joint replacements this winter (first time in 3!) so I plan to do a deep clean on the house, and look forward to welcoming you in.
