Warm November Coming to a Close

posted in: Uncategorized 3

Hard to believe that this has been one of the warmest Novembers in quite some time—- when you look out the window and view the surrounds.

Pups playing in the snow but the sheep closer to the barn as the grazing opportunities have seemed to disappear………… for now!

I have been enjoying Nanne’s yarn since my son was 2-3 years old. I’ve made sweaters for everyone in our family with it, and now that he’s off to college, he’s requested a sweater and that it only be with Nanne’s yarn. So once again I’m enjoying working with this soft smooth yarn that knits up like a dream. I know this sweater will be worn for many years and will endure all of his outdoor adventures. His is a natural color; tans, creams, specks of dark brown. Beautiful. But I’ve also enjoyed and loved the amythest, rich blue, and soft green yarns. Thank you to Nanne for your thoughtful, rich creations.

Hi – I am just finishing the jumper with Picot Edge pattern that I got from you at the CGF this fall. I was told that I should wash the garment after sewing it all together, to full the fiber, then block it. Should I wash it in warm or cold? Should I use a soap like Kookaburra? Thanks for your help. I loved making this. The pattern was easy to follow and the yarn is a dream to work with. Can’t wait to start my next project with Seacolors!
